If you’ve done any investigation at all of online marketing, you’ll know rip-offs abound, no matter where you look. Unfortunately, unscrupulous marketers feed on the multitudes of inexperienced people who are looking for financial freedom. It’s sad, because millions of people probably spend money and lose a lot of time, only to get involved with scams or at least bad business ideas that line marketers’ pockets and leave buyers with nothing. Thankfully, methods abound for making money online without any up-front fees. This will probably come as a revelation to those who have had run-ins with Web scheme run by rip-off artists!
But the line between scam and just an ill-advised business opportunity can sometimes be thin. An example of this is the controversy over an web business opportunity named Site Build It. Some people think that one or more people have created a Site Build It review that was misleading. The owner stepped forward to defend himself and he might be right about his product being on the up-and-up. But it would be up to any potential buyer to do his or her own research.
One of the main ways I like to make money online is above-board and also relatively simple to implement. I make money writing on HubPages. HubPages — a group blogging site — makes it quite simple to create content and generate ad revenue. You can create as many or as few content “hubs” (pages) as you want. Each hub you create can make up to five types of affiliate marketing revenue: eBay and Amazon products and services, Google AdSense and Kontera ads, and your own affiliate link(s). You get the revenue from 60% of the page views that generate income and the people who own HubPages get 40 percent. Affiliate programs are an exception to that rule though; One hundred percent of income generated by click-throughs from an affiliate link on a hub would belong to you. It takes a while to get good at creating solid hubs and after a while I opted to use automated marketing to aid in hub promotion, but in my opinion, the revenue you can earn over time makes it worth the effort.
One of the affiliate programs I like to use on my hubs is RevResponse, because it provides great free information for people. When anyone clicks on your links and qualifies to receive free RevResponse magazines or white papers, you make money. It’s that simple. Qualifying is not a shoe-in though, so that aspect is important to understand. To get more details about the rules, check out this review of RevResponse. The information in the review will help you know whether the RevResponse program is right for your audience.
