Emails are the most important and common form of communication; in fact they have become a lifeline of our society today. People rely on emails as being the best and the fastest method of correspondence and therefore the need for an email address is justified.

We know that emails are the most widely used mode of communication with almost everyone depending vastly on them as the quickest and most relevantly the cheapest way of getting in touch with someone. Some may use an email service practically several times in a day while there may be others who use it but not as frequently as on a day to day basis. Again there are people who use only one email address while there may be others using several of them. One may wonder why anyone would need so many email addresses when one alone is sufficient to receive and send messages. There may be others who might think, why does one need an email address anyway when we have such a wide postal service.

Firstly, sending posts by ordinary mail or even airmail as such takes days to reach its destination. Secondly, it costs more in way of postage stamps. There is no contest in comparison, as email services generally come absolutely free and mail does get to the location it’s intended within minutes of posting it. This is surely enough for anyone to change their opinion on the topic. They are certainly a more feasible choice, since they can deliver all that a standard post would normally carry.

Coming to the next point as to why anyone would need more than one email address, there are logical reasons for it too. One email address maybe sufficient for many people but for a large number of others, they will find it more useful to have multiple addresses. Having multiple addresses might be appropriate for both individual users as well as for those using it for business purposes, as this helps serve many functions. With the right plan you can create independent email addresses where you can receive and send mails according to how you have distributed them.

You can keep each email addresses for a specific category of contacts so that you can distinguish between personal, business, commercial and other divisions that you have made for quick identification of received mails. It is equally important for business owners to have multiple mailboxes with their domain name for each of their employees to have as a personal mailbox. From a business point of view, this gives them a stronger holding and this is reflected. It can be similarly, a big benefit for other departments and offices to have an individual mailbox.

By having more than one email address you can also save on time, as you can check your relevant mail on a daily basis without the hindrance of unnecessary mail crowding in. Other less important email addresses can be checked once a week or every few days. Surprisingly, to some people, individuals nowadays tend to have more than one email address. This can range to over five addresses per individual. Many people feel that by having more than one email address they can priortise and pay more attention to their emails because they can filter them accordingly.

Regardless of how many or how few email addresses you have, it should be remembered that it is always beneficial to have at least one email address of your own, which you can freely use as, when and how you want.
